“I got started full time seven years ago now. And at the time, I joined a couple agencies because I was really scared to do my own marketing and business stuff. However, as I went, I built some resentment towards the agency model because it's really hard to not feel like you're doing all the work for the business but not getting all the pay for it. Now, as someone who has run an agency/team and decided to discontinue running that team, and I'll get into that in a minute, I have a different appreciation for that now because at the time, I was just like, you're not showing up with my client. And so I was sort of like, why do you need to get paid for this, right? Which again, I have a lot of perspective now that I did not have then.”
